The Story of The Honey Woods

|Harmony Perry

When I was a child, my great-grandmother (affectionately called Mema) used to tell me a story. She lived a hard life full of many struggles.. She suffered immense abuse at the hands of her father & brothers, had 7 children, was left by the man she loved, suffered immense heartbreak, abuse, & worked to support her family. Despite all she went through, she lived her life in love for the Lord after an experience that changed her forever. In her own words from her Bible which I've inherited, she wrote,

"January 20, 1974

God came into my life in a very Awesome way - one night in 'Incline Village' as I was walking to work at midnight in the snow... He just stopped me in my tracks, & He began to pour His love over me as if it were warm honey! It was the most Awesome thing that ever happened to me! Everything in my sight just lit up, & came alive in front of my eyes - just sparkled & glittered. He showed me how real He is & He loved me."

This story has always stuck with me. An encounter with the Lord in the woods, His sweet love like honey, a woman with a testimony. How pure, how lovely, & in the words of Mema.. How Awesome. My prayer is to carry this essence with me all the days of my life, & to invite people into it no matter where they are in theirs.

The Honey Woods

There is a place where forest light filters through tall cedars & pines, where wildflowers bloom in quiet clearings, & honey glows like amber in the evening sun.

The Honey Woods was born from that place, & from a deep gratitude for the beauty God has woven into His creation.

Sacred. Gentle. Safe.

"The earth is the Lord's, & everything in it." ~ Psalm 24:1

Each bar is crafted in small batches with nourishing oils, rich butters, & thoughtfully chosen botanicals. Simple gifts drawn from the earth He has faithfully provided! We blend woodsy resins, earthy herbs, bright citrus, rich oil infusions, & healing honey to create scents that feels like wandering through the woods at dusk, where the air is still & the light lingers.

This moment is sacred. Be still in it.

Every bar is crafted to feel like stepping into a quiet grove - where you are safe, steady, & deeply held. Born from a longing for quiet, slow mornings. For peaceful nights. For the sacred woven into the ordinary. Inspired by forest light, old earth, golden honey, & the gentle, rich provisions of God.

A sanctuary for the woman who loves moss under her boots (or between her toes!) & linen in her home. For the one who finds beauty in the hush. Who is kind, but not available for mistreatment. Like a tree: soft moss at the base, unmovable trunk at the center, ancient roots beneath it all. Showing that growth is often still, steady, & quiet.

For the woman who seeks peace with strength, wrapped in gentleness beneath stillness. For the woman who is both tender & unshaken. For the one learning to rest again. For the one returning to herself in Him.

This is slow soap. Made with intention. Cured patiently. Wrapped by hand.

"The Lord will provide." ~ Genesis 22:14

We believe there is something sacred in working with what God has grown - in honoring His provision through careful craftmanship & simple, honest ingredients.

What He creates, we steward.

What He provides, we prepare with gratitude.

Further inspired by forest paths, pebble coves, old herbal books, & the quiet rhythms of everyday life, our soaps are meant to offer a small moment of stillness - a reminder that even in ordinary routines, His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Every ordinary moment is sacred.

We believe in:

Natural Ingredients

Small-batch craftsmanship

Honest simplicity

Faithful stewardship

A little woodland wonder & whimsy

You wandered.

You carried things.

Now come back.

Reset.

The Honey Woods exists to create moments of sacred pause.

Each bar is crafted as a reminder:

You are safe with God. You are rooted & made pure. Your strength does not have to shout or harden the heart. Sacred pause. Gentle strength.

"When she steps into the shower, the world softens. The noise lowers. Steam rises like incense. This is where she remembers who she is & whose she is."

Welcome to The Honey Woods.

May you carry a bit of the forest home, & may every lather be a quiet reminder of God's goodness, provision, & grace.. Of the sacred woven into the ordinay.
